EVALUATION PROGRAM
SKILLS TESTED. CONFIDENCE BOOSTED
At Active Driving School, we offer a 60-minute behind-the-wheel evaluation lesson to help new and experienced motorists enhance their abilities.
During the session, our ICBC certified driving instructors will assess your skills and provide constructive feedback. We’ll help identify strengths and any gaps in your knowledge or technique.
Based on the assessment, we’ll recommend a tailored training plan to meet your goals, whether that’s brushing up for the road test or correcting long-term bad habits.

"Refine Your Skills with Our Driving Evaluation"
This 60-minute mock road test covers core skills like:
- Scanning for hazards and exercising judgment
- Stopping at traffic lights, 4-way stops, and right-of-way situations
- Executing turns, lane changes, merging, and passing
- Backing up and parallel parking
- Smooth vehicle control
We’ll discuss any areas needing improvement and provide a clear picture of your current skills.
For new drivers, it’s ideal preparation for the real road test in a no-pressure environment.
For experienced drivers, it identifies lingering bad habits so you can re-learn proper techniques. We’ll also refresh you on updated rules.
Either way, our evaluation maximizes your chances of passing the test and becoming a safer driver.

ICBC recommends that you get 60 hours of practice time alone in order to learn the basics. As a new driver, you can take Lessons from an ICBC certified driving instructor in conjunction with having a qualified supervisor as well as taking time to practice these skills on your own at home so that you can build up a strong skill set. By taking lessons and then helping to retain these techniques by practicing on your own, you will be comfortably prepared for the road test.
For online registration, there is no need to pay anything at the time of first session. But whatever package you choose, be sure to pay half in advance during the first session and the remaining half before last session.
Do driving schools provide cars? AK Driving School does! One reason is that learning to drive can be tough on vehicles. Our vehicles are routinely checked and maintained, providing peace of mind while you’re in our care.
