Earning your Class 1 driver’s license opens up opportunities in professional trucking and logistics careers. At Active Driving School, our one-on-one Class 1 training is designed to help you gain this essential certification.
Over the course of 18-20 hours of personalized lessons, our experienced instructors will guide you through everything you need to know to pass the Class 1 road test, including:

Operating a tractor trailer combination unit – We’ll cover coupling/uncoupling, pre-trip inspections, air brake systems, shifting, steering, and backing maneuvers.
Highway, freeway, and city driving – You’ll practice scanning for hazards, maintaining safe following distance, changing lanes, passing other vehicles, exiting/merging, handling intersections, and more.
Knowledge and skills for passing the test – We’ll provide ongoing evaluation, tips and techniques to help you perform each maneuver correctly and confidently.
With a focus on safety and defensive driving principles, our real-world training develops the skills and experience needed to drive Class 1 vehicles like full-size transport trucks.

To qualify for your Class 1 license after training, you will need to:

Provide a medical report.
Pass the Class 1 knowledge test.
Pass the on-road driving test
